This question is about solvent abuse. Should Kids who casually sniff various solvent containg substances out of curiosity may be regarded as suffering from solvent abuse??Should casual sniffing of solvent containing household items by kids may be regarded as solvent abuse??
"It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with it's labeling" Ever seen that on glue or paint or aerosols? It's because the Federal Government knows the extremely high toxicity of these substances, and wants to avoid accidents. The kids think that it "smells good" so they put their nose in and get a good whiff, often leading to serious physical and mental afflictions. If done more than once, the person is definitely suffering from solvent abuse.
That or stupid, and deadly, maybe even suicidal depending on what they are sniffing and why.
How is the solvent abusing anyone? Maybe parental supervision abuse, yes, but for every tragedy involving solvent huffing, there are hundreds of millions of people whose daily lives are enhanced and improved from the use of solvents.
