Swallowing gum?

So, i have this really bad habbit of swallowing my gum. And i chew alot of gum.
Some times i do it woth out even notice till im like,"woah i swear i was chewing gum!"
But anyhow, i leaned in Bio today that things like that can stick in your small intestines for years.
True or false?
If if does, what can i eat/drink to help clear out my intestines?Swallowing gum?
FALSE We actually talked about that myth in a college nutrition class I'm taking right now. It's not digestible, it will just make it's way from one end to the other.
It is true. you body can not digest it fast enough. You will eventually pass it but it does take years. You can try a colon cleaning product to help pass it along
heh...7 years to be exact. i guess you can try drinking/eating drinks/foods that are acidic, so that they can eat away at the gum in your intestines...i dunno about that actually, just an idea..
i suggest you go see your doctor and the first thing you ask him/her is how to get rid or swalloed gum.
False, I swallowed gum thousands of times and it goes out your poop shoot. Though things can get caught in your intestines it's usually jagged stuff that does like seeds and such.
False. Try putting a piece of gum in a can of Coke, and see how long it takes to disintegrate. Acids in your stomach are stronger than acid in a can of Coke.
False. Thats a myth.
If your'e still worried about clearing your intestines eat some laxatives and poop it out.
