Sore throat/ throat stuff related to growth?

I heard that sometimes when your like 14-18 that having a sore throat for a day or 2 is somehow related to your growth? The larynx is stretching itself out before it actually grows (not just the neck, because the whole body is connected) so anyone heard of this? Might just be some crackhead thing...Sore throat/ throat stuff related to growth?
Mild sore throats are quite common and most often are related to environmental causes such as allergens, cigarette smoke, dry air etc. These resolve on their own and are not very painful.
You could have a sore throat from post nasal drip, this is also mildly painful and resolves on it's own in most cases.
You could also have a bacterial or viral infection such as strep. These are pretty doggone painful and require a docs intervention.
I would say unless it REALLY hurts or you can see pustules on your tonsils give it a day or two and it should resolve.
Good luck, HTH
it's not really related...although something in the throat is realated to growth...it's called the thyroid gland, responsible for releasing growth hormones...
When your throat gets sore it means you have bacterial infection in your throat. Gargle a mouthwash disinfectant before it gets worse. Or you may have to take antibiotics if it does.
