Something cheaper then a Humidifier?

My bedroom gets very dry at night and this is making me have sore throats and bunged up and runny nose. I have been recomended by friends to buy a Humidifier to get more moisture in the air, but these are quite expensive and really can't afford vast amounts. My brother suggested having a bowl of water next to my bed as when it evaporates it makes the air less dry, tried this and didn't help that much. So was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that win't burn a hole in my pocket ? thanksSomething cheaper then a Humidifier?
walmart sells humidifiers cheap.Go check them out.
Another option is to buy a plugged in kind...they are pretty small though.
I dont know if you live with someone, or have an apartment. But in the winter, I put a kettle of water on the stove and turn on the burner...The water boils and moistens the air in my apartment. You can try that.
A bowl of hot water near your bed may help.
There are cheaper versions of humidifiers that you can buy. I'm sure there's these little plug in things, like the air freshener things, but they humidify the room.
I've got these things you hang over the radiator that you fill with water, got them from Kleeneze, you can get similar from pound shops!
